The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Job Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizing Web Development in Vue3.js, React, Python, Azure DevOps, and AI integration to build cutting-edge applications, with integration to mechanical simulation and CAD software

  • Construct Backend Frameworks using Flask and Python with connections to external sources and databases

  • Taking ownership to complete the Frontend development (UI/UX design, implementation) for projects

  • Generally assigned to software processes, automations, internal applications, existing business and/or minor modifications

  • Supports the complete development for the designated products including, but not limited to design, build and test activities, in accordance with standard operating procedures and the product delivery process

  • Build internal analytical and software tools to streamline engineering processes to support large volumes of projects

  • Supports customer requirements, regulations and product specifications into the design of the designated products, ensuring compliance with operational, cost, timing, safety, reliability, quality, and manufacturing feasibility parameters

  • Analyzes products and formulates engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and/or mathematical principles and tools

  • Consults and collaborates with personnel in various engineering and design activities relative to product development requirements

  • Supports global CAE activities as a global team

  • Supports effective communications within the project team and the customer, supplier, manufacturing and quality communities with guidance from engineering management or senior engineering personnel. Maintains all appropriate documentation

  • Understands and follows existing policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvements

  • Follows Magna's Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policies

  • Perform other duties as required

Salary Range: $21.08 to $25.46 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or related fields from an accredited university

  • Good understanding of Engineering Mechanics and Dynamics is preferred, particularly in the areas of rigid body force analysis and travel calculations

  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills are required

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to fast-paced environments

  • Experience with one of the programming languages is required: Python, MATLAB, C++, VBA

Experience in the following skill sets is an asset:-

  • Proficient in frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript

  • Familiar with frameworks: React.js, Vue.js 3, Angular, Next.js, Nuxt.js, Gatsby, Vite
