Summary
Are you ready for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking an ambitious engineering leader to join our team. This position requires the successful candidate to perform lead, coordinate and exercise technical program execution authority over Integrated product teams for planning, organizing, controlling, integration, execution and close out of engineering content on a variety of flight simulator programs.
This role is for a leader who is self-motivated and demonstrates a positive approach, strong work ethic, and ownership for their work. Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives involving cross- functional teams. Performing Cost Account Maangment (CAM) reviews with IPTS and is responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance for the engineering content on a program.

  • Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.
  • Performs as the technical lead over the assigned engineering team on a program to include leading/participating in program peer & gate reviews, supporting program management reviews (PMRs), and coordinating technical activity amongst the program IPTs.
  • Performs weekly/monthly Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews with IPTs and is responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance for the engineering content on a program.
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization which include customers or vendors.
  • Receives engineering direction from and is accountable to a Directorate Chief Engineer (DCE), who has overall Program Engineering responsibility for successfully proposing, developing and delivering Product Line solutions.
  • Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area.
  • Implement strategic goals established by leadership.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software, Systems, Mechanical Engineer or Computer Science
  • 8+ years of USG/DoD development program experience
  • 3+ years of Engineering Lead experience in USG/DoD development programs
  • 3+ years of experience with IBM/Rational or Atlassian development and collaboration tools, DOORS, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Microsoft Project

    Preferred Skills
    • Advanced master's degree in an engineering discipline
    • 5+ years of experience within the training and simulation industry
    • 3+ years of experience performing as liaison between program management, engineering management, and the technical disciplines involved in a project.
    • 3+ years of experience performing as primary technical interface with USG/DoD customers.

    Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
    • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
    • Works at job activities that require sitting, standing or walking for short periods throughout the day and focused visual concentration or focused listening
    • Work is sometimes performed in an environment where irritants such as noise, temperature, and lighting variations may exist.
    • Some time will be spent in a development lab and occasion travel (10% of the time)
