Our comprehensive 12-month training program will equip you with the skills and knowledge to excel in bridge, transportation, hydraulic, or geotechnical engineering. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Shape the Future of Transportation Infrastructure: As a CET, you'll be actively involved in various aspects of civil engineering through a structured training program. Here's a glimpse of what you can expect: Get Your Hands Dirty: Assist with field data collection, traffic studies, and construction inspections. Design and Analysis: Contribute to preliminary engineering studies, draft reports, and prepare design elements for highway and bridge projects.

Technical Expertise: Develop proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools for civil engineering applications. Rotational Program: Experience diverse work environments across Design, Construction, and Maintenance divisions, including the Central Office in Harrisburg. This position offers a dynamic and enriching experience that will propel your engineering knowledge and career aspirations.

Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on project assignments .In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved?location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Hollidaysburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $66,328.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of civil engineering experience and a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field that includes or is supplemented by major coursework in civil engineering. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within nine months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Special Requirement: This position requires possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
