Job description

Job Overview

As an IT Software Engineer at Micron you will configure, develop, maintain and support Micron and third‑party applications. You will create and analyze software specifications, research, design, document, modify, and support software throughout the development life cycle. You must demonstrate functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to provide the best solution, creating quality software and participating in quality improvement efforts. You will provide solutions that create business value while minimizing negative impact from defects, downtime, or performance degradation.

Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with multiple teams that make up IT, Information Security, and Technology to drive impactful change.
  • Design, engineer, and implement application security solutions in a scalable way for a worldwide enterprise.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Ensure that the impact of software development changes is well understood, using data to assess upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams for end‑to‑end testing and performance analysis of real‑time data applications, solve issues, proactively identify new opportunities, and drive initiatives through to completion.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 2‑3 years experience.
  • Experience developing RESTful web services using Node.js, Apache, or C#, and object‑oriented programming preferably .NET.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, and Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other container technologies.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot or other code generation utilities (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Tabnine).

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
