Job description

Korean Bilingual Quality Engineer ll//TL//Aliso Viejo, CASummary
This role is responsible for supporting manufacturing and engineering quality activities, including defect analysis, root cause investigations, and customer return processes. The position focuses on identifying quality trends, improving product reliability, and ensuring timely resolution of quality issues through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support manufacturing and engineering quality-related issues, including customer return defect analysis and root cause investigations
  • Perform initial hardware and software (HW/SW) analysis, including diagnostic trouble code review, bench testing, log capture, and PCB component-level investigation
  • Conduct warranty claims analysis and utilize quality data analytics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Prepare and report quality status to internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Conduct and coordinate vehicle-level testing and detailed analysis, including supporting field investigations and customer site visits
  • Ensure timely and compliant submission of required customer documentation
  • Support and coordinate responses to emerging quality issues, including containment actions and issue tracking
  • Support daily quality and inspection activities at designated inspection facilities to verify product quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive electronics or related field
  • Hands-on experience with PCB analysis, ECU testing, and system-level integration
  • Strong technical knowledge in automotive electronics quality
  • Bilingual in Korean and English
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with statistical and problem-solving tools (Minitab, Power BI, Six Sigma, 8D, 5-Why, root cause analysis)
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 30% (domestic and international), including local travel as needed
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
