Job description

Our client is a leading provider of advanced satellite communications solutions for defense, government, and commercial organizations operating in remote and mission-critical environments. They design and manufacture portable, vehicle-mounted, and fixed SATCOM systems that enable secure voice, video, and data communications worldwide.
They are seeking a Satellite Communication Technician to provide communication and non-communication functions in support of DoD systems. 
Relevant Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in System Engineer (or additional experience)
-3+ years of professional experience in software, hardware, or networks
-Experience with protocol analysis
-Experience with ATM, routers, gateways, frame, relay h bridges, FDDI
-Experience with UNIX operating systems
-Knowledge of SATCOM terminals (C, KU, X, and Ka bands)
-Knowledge of OSi protocol
-Knowledge of UHF systems
-Ability to live and work in Germany
Desired:
-Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) or Enterprise Certified Netware Engineer (ECNE) experience supervising the operation and maintenance of communication network systems, mainframe, mini, or client/server based. 
The total compensation includes base pay, Cost of Living Allowance, Living Quarter Allowance, Internet and cell phone allowance, paid monthly – this brings the total compensation to  $115k USD.  This will be an Ordinary Resident position that will have a Germany work visa, the compensation will be paid in Euros, and taxes will be paid in Germany.
