This position is part of Novanta's ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world's leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Primary Responsibilities

  • Designing, writing, and testing software that is used to calibrate and test industrial robot tooling.
  • Develop test plans and procedures
  • Write test instructions.
  • Windows software is written in .NET languages (C#, Visual Basic, etc.). May involve some assembly and C programming for microcontroller firmware.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

  • Understanding of object oriented programming (experience with .NET languages is a plus).
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic concepts of digital electronic hardware.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Min. GPA: 3.5
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder and have dependable transportation.

Management prefers:

  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, such as subnet masking and MAC addresses vs. IP addresses.
  • Basic experience with Assembly language.
  • Basic experience with C/C++.
  • The salary for this role will range from $37,430 to $50,000 annually based on full-time employment.Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
