Job description

Team Lead #1044 

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required.  Ability to obtain the required government security clearance (CBP Public Trust Final). Existing clearance is preferred.

Dev Technology Group is hiring a Team Lead for an existing software delivery team within a large, complex government program. This is a dynamic team with lots of moving parts - the successful candidate will dive right in, learn the applications we support, connect with other teams, talk with end users and help your team be successful in meeting our customer's expectations. This is not a technical development role, but it does require past experience with development and deployment work.

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Overseeing development efforts for the team, ensure work gets completed, helping to identify and remove blockers
  • Writing user stories, helping end users with issues and resolving them
  • Supporting Agile ceremonies and all the prep and post work involved
  • Coordinating with other groups such as deployment work, data work, automation

Required Education, Experience, and Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree plus at least 7 years of work experience, a significant portion in software development
  • Experience working in an Agile team development environment using Jira or a similar tool
  • Experience working as a formal or informal leader of a software development team 
  • Experience leading scrum ceremonies
  • Experience helping resolve issues for end users
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
  • Ability to work early morning or late night hours periodically to support deployments
  • This is a hybrid position with 1-2 days per week onsite in Ashburn, Virginia
