Position Summary...The Senior Manager, Software Engineering, leads platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. This role oversees the full software development lifecycle, driving technical excellence, scalability, and operational reliability across multiple teams. The position requires strong leadership in architectural design, DevOps practices, and cloud cost optimization while fostering collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. The manager mentors engineering talent, manages complex initiatives, and champions continuous improvement to deliver robust, high-quality software solutions that support business objectives and enhance customer experiences.
About the team:
The Command & Control Center (CCC) operates as Walmart’s centralized 24/7 enterprise incident command and operational coordination hub. The team leads rapid detection, escalation, communication, and mitigation of critical technology and business incidents affecting operations. CCC establishes incident command structures, coordinates cross-functional response teams, and drives decision-making to restore services swiftly. It continuously monitors systems to proactively address disruptions and supports operational readiness during high-impact events.
