The bigger picture 

We’re looking for two technical, innovative developers to come on board as Software Developers, at the Senior or Intermediate level, at our College Avenue location in Regina, Saskatchewan. There are two opportunities: one permanent, and one temporary up to 15 months. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that drive business efficiency and innovation. Your technical expertise will help the organization stay competitive, improve operational processes, and deliver high-quality products and services to stakeholders.  

How you’ll be spending your time 

  • Designing, building and documenting software systems and architectures for reference and reporting, and ensuring maximum value 
  • Participating in system design reviews and governance reviews  
  • Delivering an applications and services portfolio that supports and aligns with organizational business strategy  
  • Liaising with agile team members to understand and analyze organizational needs and deliver full stack applications  
  • Designing and creating data models that represent the structure, relationships, and constraints of data within a database 
  • Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy by enforcing data standards and best practices  
  • Automating business processes and making them consumable in a user-friendly way to the organization and key stakeholders  
  • Championing the delivery of solutions in an agile way by following a sprint methodology 
  • At the Senior level, providing leadership, mentorship, technical support and guidance to peer developers

The experience you bring 

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Information Systems, or a combination of education and relevant experience. 
  • 3+ years (Intermediate level) or 8+ years’ experience (Senior level) delivering solutions based on diverse data sets, including building and integrating web services.  
  • Technical proficiency in database operations and SQL. 
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. 
  • Deep understanding of web applications and infrastructure components including web servers, load balancers, http, caching and session management. 
  • Experience with VueJS or similar modern javascript frameworks (Angular, React, etc.) and modern frontend build tools like Webpack or Vite. 
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining robust APIs and backend services using C# and .NET to support scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. 
  • Experience with dependency injection and inversion of control containers 
  • Familiarity with containerization and microservices 
  • Familiarity with state management libraries such as Vuex or Pinia 
  • Proficiency with javascript, css, html, Less and Sass, familiarity with CSS frameworks like Ionic or Bulma 
  • Experience with hybrid mobile web frameworks like Capacitor or Cordova would be an asset 
  • General experience in financial services, insurance, or retail industries would be an asset 

Salary Range: 

Intermediate Software Developer: $79,530 - $99,420 with 10% Short Term Incentive Target 

Senior Software Developer $86,280 - $115,040 with 13% Short Term Incentive Target 

These positions may be filled at either the Intermediate or Senior level. The successful candidate(s) will be placed in the Intermediate or Senior level of the role based on their experience, technical expertise, demonstrated competencies, and overall alignment with the role requirements.
