Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking Developers to work on a broad range of projects. Our work is interdisciplinary, so a wide variety of majors and work experience are acceptable. This position supports clients by transforming data and automating processes, mostly relating to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements. A successful candidate will have a passion for problem solving and a desire to learn and adopt new technologies to meet project requirements. Because this role involves work for Federal clients along with state and local governments and private-sector clients, US citizenship is a requirement for this job.

The position also requires work in both self-directed and team-based collaboration scenarios where critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. The person in this role will have responsibility for the success of small projects focused on solution development or development tasks within larger projects.

To ensure success in this role, you should have a strong working knowledge of Power Platform, including Canvas Power Apps, Model-Driven Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Portals and Microsoft 365 services, as well as the fundamentals of ETL processes, database design, and object-oriented programming.

This is a client-facing position; effective communication is as important as technical skill. The person in this position will work with multiple clients at once, and though this is a full-time salaried position, will be required to accurately allocate their daily time worked to the appropriate projects.

Job Summary

  • Design, create, and maintain business automation and intelligence tools and the data structures which supply them.
  • Understand what clients need to do with data and work with experts and coworkers to accomplish it.
  • Plan the steps required to accomplish a client's requirements and estimate the effort and schedule needed to complete them.
  •  Articulate technical challenges and proposed solutions to non-technical decision makers.
  • Query databases and use APIs to obtain data.
  • Suggest innovative solutions for client requirements.
  • Initiate contact with mentors and coworkers to work through problems and questions.
  • Proactively engage with coworkers and clients throughout the world.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related degree +4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education. 
  • Experience designing and building tools for process automation solutions, including PowerApps or competitive platforms
  • Experience designing and building dashboards
  • Working understanding of relational databases
  • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required,
