You will be working with a team of full-stack software engineers who are responsible for developing software that helps run and optimize the Manufacturing line. This team has a specific focus on enabling the Photolithography area within the Manufacturing environment. The team applies a wide variety of technologies and interacts with team members from around the globe.

Welcome! As a Senior Software Development Engineer at Micron you will configure, develop, maintain and support Micron and third-party applications. You will create and analyze software specifications, as well as research, design, document, modify, and support software throughout the development life cycle. You must demonstrate the functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to provide the best solution. You must have a demonstrated ability to create quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts. You will provide solutions that create business value while at the same time minimizing negative impact resulting from defects, downtime, or performance degradation.

Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with multiple teams that make up IT, Information security and Technology to drive impactful change.
  • Design, engineering and implementation of application security solutions in a scalable way for a worldwide enterprise.
  • Analyze and fix systems issues.
  • Ensure that the potential impact of software development changes is well understood, using data to support understanding of upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams for end-to-end testing and performance analysis of real-time data applications, solve issues, proactively identify new opportunities, and drive initiatives through to completion.
  • Apply Generative AI tools to increase development efficiency, support building and implementation tasks, and reduce time‑to‑delivery, with appropriate human review and alignment to engineering standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2-3 years experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Developing RESTful web services using NodeJS, Apache or C#, and Object-Oriented Programming with .NET, and C++.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, and Angular/React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and other Web technologies.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other container technologies.
  • GitHub Copilot or other Code Generation Utilities (ex. Claude Code, Cursor etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Motivated to learn new skills independently.
  • Creative problem solver with good problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
