About the Team
The ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. team designs and manufactures hydraulic and electrohydraulic components, controls, and brake systems for off-highway machines.
ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. is looking for an Engineering Technician Intern to be a part of our Engineering Lab team. The Engineering Lab provides resources in the areas of product prototyping, lifetime testing, destructive testing, failure analysis, and test equipment development. Our team members are problem solvers and experience a great deal of variety in their daily responsibilities.
What you can look forward to as Engineering Lab Intern:
  • Perform general care and maintenance of the Engineering Lab.
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes. Operate and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical test equipment. Document test processes and results.
  • Assist with research, design, and construction of test equipment.
  • Coordinate research or test projects.
  • Perform failure analysis and document the results.

Your Profile as Engineering Lab Intern:
  • Enrollment in a two-year or four-year technical program is required.
  • The ideal candidate should be technically oriented and capable of understanding the fundamentals of mechanical, electrical, and fluid power technologies, as well as test equipment and software operation.
  • The individual should be self-motivated, capable of working on projects individually, meeting deadlines, and have good problem-solving skills. They should be capable of coordinating a project and seeing it through to completion.
  • Position is for a one year internship, starting immediately, working hands-on in the Engineering Test Lab. Expectation is for a minimum of 12 hours per week.
