The Test Engineering is the team that is responsible for the quality of the choice hotel's products we develop and deliver. As a key member of our Test Engineering department, you will be responsible to ensure the reliability, functionality, and quality of software systems and applications used in various aspects of the hospitality sector with primary focus on enhances guest experience, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated tests for API, Web, and Database applications.
  • Automate manual test cases, expand regression coverage, and enhance test automation frameworks.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and perform root cause analysis of failures.
  • Integrate test execution, environment setup, and test data management into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage test environments, create test data, and document reusable test cases and scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Product, Business, Development, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage work through backlogs and defect tracking tools.
  • Log, track, and communicate defects with clear impact analysis and reproduction steps.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • 3+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Programming: Java (required), Python
    • Automation: TestNG, RestAssured, Maven, Git
    • Cloud: AWS (EC2, Lambda)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Harness.
  • Strong SQL and data validation skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and qTest.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing and leveraging AI to improve testing efficiency and quality.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and able to work independently.
  • Continuous learner with a passion for improving technical and testing skills.
  • Experience in Finance and/or Hospitality domains is a plus.

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Manager of Test Engineering. You will have 5-6 peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.
