Journeyman Education/Experience: A high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience OR * A Bachelor of Science degree in STEM with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience
OR A Master of Science degree in a STEM field with 0 years of software development
Sr/Principal Education/Experience: A high school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of software development experience OR A Bachelor of Science degree in STEM with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience OR * A Master of Science in a STEM field with 3 years of software development experience
Required Skills: * Full Stack Software Development
  • Demonstrated experience in Java
  • Proven experience with Windows OS
  • Familiarity with relational database management systems (Oracle/PDBs) and SQL
  • Working knowledge of the Agile development processes

DESCRIPTION: Constellation West is looking for a Software Developer to develop, create, and modify general computer applications software and specialized utility programs. The ideal candidate has ability to analyze user needs and develop software solutions, design software, and customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Must also have the ability to analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. Must demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities achieving sustainable quality products. Show a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering. * Works closely with other software developers accomplishing the following:
  • Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team
  • Support team in completing necessary software on schedule
  • Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions
  • Collaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems
