Responsibilities:
• Support exciting projects across Peraton in areas such as communications, space, cybersecurity, defense, health, and mobile.
• Work in a collaborative, supportive environment that allows you to grow your skills and your career while building experience in a variety of different projects and domains.
• Work in an Agile software development environment supporting requirements/story development, software architecture and design, software development, and unit/component testing.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience working as a full-stack software engineer
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Experience developing with Java and Python, along with a demonstrated ability to pick up new programming languages and technologies quickly
• Experience with AI-assisted development platforms such as Claude Code, GitHub CoPilot, and/or Codex
• Experience with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and JavaScript frameworks (React and/or Angular)
• Experience developing web services and web applications
• Experience working with SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, and/or MSSQL)
• Experience with containerization using Docker
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
Preferred:
• Experience working with a broad range of programming languages, such as C++, C#, and Golang
• Experience working with AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, and TensorFlow
• Prior experience working with DevSecOps processes and tools
• Experience with AWS technologies such EC2, S3, Lambda, and VPC
• Experience with deploying software into cloud environments, particularly AWS, using technologies such as Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with mobile development using Android Studio, Flutter, Kotlin, and/or Swift
• Prior experience providing technical leadership to a team or mentoring to junior personnel
• Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action and an ability to find innovative ways to solve problems
