Familiarity with development tools such as Git, integrated development environments (IDEs), and frameworks like React or .NET is typically required, along with knowledge of agile methodologies or certifications. Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, teamwork, and effective communication are essential soft skills that help you excel in collaborative and fast-paced environments. These skills ensure you can build reliable, maintainable software and adapt to evolving project requirements and technologies.

Job description

I’m working with a global leader in heavy mobile equipment manufacturing, hiring a Mechanical Engineering Technician based in Huntington, West Virginia—and it’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to get real engineering experience, not just sit behind a desk.

You’ll be involved in designing mechanical systems, working with CAD, supporting production, and actually seeing your work come to life on heavy equipment—everything from wiring harnesses to hydraulic routing.

They’re looking for someone collaborative but independent—someone who can communicate across teams and take ownership of projects.

On top of that, they offer day one benefits, profit sharing, multiple bonuses per year, and even tuition support for you and your family, which is rare at this level.

If you’re looking to grow in a hands-on engineering environment, this is worth a conversation.

Responsibilities will include all phases of design and project management. This job will include occasional travel, where assistance to sales or service staff is required. Experience with 3D-CAD software is required. Solid Edge CAD, Teamcenter PLM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ANSYS FEA are all a plus. Previous experience in heavy mobile equipment design is preferred. Possessing a P.E. license is a plus. Competitive benefits package.

Minimum Qualifications:
BSME certification with at least 3 years of experience

Manufacturing experience a PLUS!
