Job Description:

The Manager - Software Engineering (Conversions) leads a team responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting software solutions and processes used for customer data conversion and migration activities. This role partners closely with Implementation, Product, Project Management, and Engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery while driving operational efficiency, automation, AI adoption, and continuous improvement across the conversion lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team supporting customer data conversion and migration initiatives.
  • Oversee software development, maintenance, and technical processes related to conversion projects.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery outcomes.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency efforts.
  • Support system integrations, data conversion activities, and technical delivery processes.
  • Foster collaboration and effective communication among technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure project commitments, quality standards, and customer expectations are met throughout the conversion lifecycle.
  • Support the strategic adoption of AI and intelligent automation within the Conversions organization, identifying opportunities to streamline conversion activities, reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate client implementations through data-driven process optimization.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging AI-enabled tools, analytics, and workflow automation to increase team productivity, enhance scalability, and deliver measurable operational efficiencies across the conversion lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development, technical operations, implementations, project delivery, or related technical functions.
  • Demonstrate deepexpertisein data conversion and migration methodologies, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation, with hands-onproficiencyusing ETL tools and processes to ensureaccurate, secure, and efficient client migrations.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of software development, data conversion, system integration, and technical delivery processes.
  • Experience using AI-enabled development and project management tools, including Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships across teams and departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading process improvement, automation, or operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Familiarity with COBOL, SQL, scripting languages, mainframe platforms, or similar enterprise technologies.
  • Strong preference for candidates with FinTech industry experience.
