We are seeking an innovative and experienced engineering leader to join our developer software team.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading Analyzer and Debugger software engineering projects that make silicon come to life. These include products like Intel(R) System Debugger and Intel(R) VTune(TM) Profiler plus other critical products. You will lead software engineering teams that deliver innovation, performance, engineering productivity, and quality at a predictable cadence. Plus, you have the opportunity to transform how observability, debugging and profiling is done in the modern AI era, enabling engineers internally and externally, contributing to community tools. You will nurture and develop teams of experienced engineers across multiple software projects and locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Goal setting
  • Define and drive business vision and strategy to address emerging customer use cases and product requirements. Engage with strategic customers to understand emerging use cases and validate product direction.

Change Agent
  • Challenge existing assumptions around all areas of engineering - how work is structured, which projects we build and why, etc. Aligns the organization around impactful goals and aspirations. Drive the organization to play a pivotal role in the rapid-changing industry and developer community.

Cross-team collaboration
  • Partner with internal HW and SW product teams and engineering organizations to understand product definitions and prioritize requirements, focusing on the highest value work for the organization and our customers.

Engineering discipline
  • Create consistent, efficient, user-loved products by balancing technical excellence with a deep understanding of business needs, user experience, and iterative processes to deliver significant impact.

Mentorship and development
  • Excellent leadership skills in talent development, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, high-impact work environment. Mentor engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience including 10+ years leading software engineering teams.
  • 5 years of experience with demonstrated technical ability in system profiling, power and performance analysis, debugger engineering, workload analysis, or compiler and library engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of AI/HPC and open-source ecosystems.
  • Working experience in AI, machine learning, next-generation technology development, and systems engineering
  • Extensive experience leading engineering teams, set strategic goals, drive execution, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to balance between short-term team imperatives and long-term team goals.
  • Communicating effectively with senior leadership, partners, and stakeholders.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $233,990.00-330,340.00 USD
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
