Senior Software Developer

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) team inSeattle, WA or Hazelwood, MO.

Be a part in supporting the fascinating world of Boeing Technology Innovation (BTI). The mission of Boeing Technology Innovation is to advance the future for Boeing. This individual will support a full-stack secure web applications development project.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a team of skilled and motivated individuals to achieve results. A positive attitude and self-motivated approach are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and support a global team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex and secure computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs

  • Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements

  • Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications

  • Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain security, functionality, and performance

  • Identifies and recommends improvements

  • Guides the successful completion of aspects of major programs and functions in a project leadership role

  • Identifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems

  • Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications

  • Gathers and evaluates end user requirements

  • Writes and compiles code, and constructs database objects and script based on documented design

  • Analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements

  • Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality

  • Ensures that application integrates with overall system architecture, utilizing standard Information Technology (IT) lifecycle methodologies and tools

  • Reviews system performance and identify and recommend improvements

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Object Oriented Design and Programming

  • 5+ years of experience with C/C# and ASP.NET

  • 5+ years of experience in SQL/T-SQL

  • Experience with stored procedures and designing high performance databases

  • Experience working with sensitive information and safeguarding confidential information

  • Experience with software development in Agile methodology

  • Experience working with development, deployment and version control tools (e.g., Eclipse, Git, Jira, VersionOne)

  • Experience automating and troubleshooting application deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Tool Suites along with Azure Pipelines and Portal)

  • Experience in client-side technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery

  • Experience developing cloud native applications

  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing authentication solutions

  • Experience in a role that required the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or equivalent or relevant experience

  • Security Centered Certification (e.g. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+)

  • Experience with Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC), Discretionary Access Control (DAC), and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)

  • Experience with Artificial Technology (AI) technologies, frameworks, models and ensembles such as Agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

  • Experience working with containerization, Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with client-side development libraries including as Angular and TypeScript

  • Experience developing with ASP.NET Core Razor, Model View Controller (MVC), etc.

  • Experience with Web Application Authentication and authorization technologies including Federation and Open Authorization (OAuth)
