Overview
Requires 4-7 years of experience in the field or a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; a degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable initiative and independent judgment.
Role Summary
Research, design, implement, and manage software programs. Test and evaluate new programs and work closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts to deliver maintainable, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, code, and modify complex computer programs, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes, and scripts using Angular, C#, ASP.NET, and Oracle Database. Perform necessary testing of assigned programs, including generating test data, writing test scripts/execution sequences, examining test results, debugging detected errors, and using current development methods and established development standards (programming, documentation, testing) to ensure quality and maintainability. Participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards and business/system requirements. (35%)
  • Work with trainers, technical support staff, network specialists, and contract staff to modify/update existing systems or implement new systems. Identify, investigate, and resolve production problems, which may include analyzing issues, coding, testing, implementing, and training other technical staff and/or customers. (25%)
  • Analyze requirements for new applications and enhancements to be implemented in the division. (10%)
  • Collaborate with the software development team, coordinate development efforts with team members, and provide development status to the team lead or project manager. (20%)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of systems documentation. (10%)

Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements (Required)
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in computer programming, analysis, and development of complex business processes and system solutions.
  • Experience coding, testing, and debugging programs in development or requiring support for issue resolution, performance, or enhancement.
  • Ability to process information logically, design programs and system logic, and prepare program specifications.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output.
  • Knowledge of IT industry trends and ability to relate them to the organization.
  • Knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information, applications, and organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (both new to the company and new to the industry).
  • Knowledge of tools, techniques, and good practices for protecting the integrity of corporate data and associated processing; familiarity with company technology practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of solution delivery using Agile or Scrum methodology.

Preferred
  • Familiarity with the company's information architecture and information management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with existing and planned software technology and the global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
