    Lead the design, implementation, and operation of core Merino platform capabilities for OCI-scale CI/CD and change workflow orchestration.
    Own architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, operational readiness, and production support.
    Drive improvements to workflow reliability, deployment safety, scalability, observability, and developer experience.
    Design systems integrating build, release bundle, change management, approval, rollback, and deployment workflows.
    Break down ambiguous platform problems into durable engineering solutions.
    Set high standards for code quality, system design, operational excellence, and maintainability.
    Use production signals and customer feedback to prioritize platform improvements.
    Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical leadership.
    Partner across engineering and product organizations to shape the Merino roadmap.
    Champion effective use of AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows while maintaining engineering rigor.
Required Qualifications
    8+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems, developer platforms, CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, or cloud services.
    Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar languages.
    Experience operating reliable cloud services in OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release automation, IaC, containers, orchestration, or deployment pipelines.
    Ability to lead technical initiatives across ambiguity and competing priorities.
    Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills.
Preferred Experience
    Hands-on use of Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar agentic coding tools.
    Experience using AI-generated code with strong review, testing, and architectural ownership.
    Experience using AI to explore codebases, generate tests, refactor systems, improve documentation, or accelerate migrations.
    Experience building internal engineering platforms with a strong focus on developer experience and reliability.
    Experience with release orchestration, progressive rollout, rollback validation, and large-scale production deployments.
