Job description

Title: Software Asset Manager III
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
Job Details:
  • Oversee physical logistics assets and enterprise software portfolios across the organization
  • Manage the full lifecycle of logistics and software assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, optimization, and retirement
  • Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, fleet/logistics equipment, and enterprise software assets
  • Track contracts, warranties, renewals, subscriptions, and license expirations
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 19770, ITIL, SAM frameworks)
  • Optimize software utilization by identifying and eliminating unused or underutilized licenses
  • Support vendor audits, contract negotiations, and mitigate licensing risks
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for software vendors and logistics asset providers
  • Collaborate with internal departments managing license portals and asset usage
  • Monitor asset performance, utilization, and depreciation, and partner with operations to forecast needs and optimize allocation
  • Implement and maintain tracking systems to improve asset visibility and reduce loss
  • Establish and enforce asset governance policies, procedures, and compliance controls
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to financial, operational, and regulatory requirements
  • Mitigate financial and operational risks associated with asset mismanagement
  • Produce reports on asset utilization, compliance, cost optimization, and ROI, and support forecasting for licensing, procurement, and renewals
  • Lead process improvement initiatives related to software and asset management workflows

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum six (6) years of relevant logistics and software asset management experience
  • Experience working in a DoD or IC environment
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models
  • Experience with ERP or asset tracking systems
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities
  • Excellent project and process management skills; strong negotiation and vendor management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a strong compliance mindset
  • Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
