Our X-ray Systems division designs and manufactures radioscopic and CT inspection systems for a wide range of industrial applications. Serving industries such as electronics, aviation and aerospace, and automotive, our customers include some of the world's largest manufacturers-major enterprises that trust us for our exceptional quality.

Summary:

As an Application Engineer, you will support the Sales team throughout the entire customer journey. This includes assisting in pre-sales meetings, conducting technical product demonstrations, and engaging in detailed discussions. After sales, you will be involved in installation, setup, training, and providing ongoing technical support. You will also serve as the technical expert and primary point of contact for Comet Yxlon's Computed Tomography (CT) and Digital Radiography (DR) systems in North America.

What You Will Do:

  • Demonstrate DR and CT systems online, during on-site customer visits, and at trade shows.
  • Conduct internal and external application training sessions; deliver application services to strategic customers
  • Optimize existing application methods to improve performance.
  • Provide consulting support during project execution and acceptance phases.
  • Document application results and prepare detailed reports.
  • Provide ongoing customer support after system commissioning.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Experience using Dragonfly 3D World image analysis software.
    • Preferred 3+ years of relevant experience in applications engineering.
    • Basic understanding of X-ray technology and Computed Tomography (CT).
    • Preferred knowledge of industrial imaging X-ray processes, especially in Semiconductor and Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
  • Communication Skills:
    • Ability to clearly present technical information and conduct customer training sessions.
    • Business fluency in English.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% for customer training, technical demonstrations, and trade shows.

 

The target salary range for this job is approximately $130,000 to $155,000 annually.
