Job description

Coach Softball August 17-21 at Prospect Park

Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring enthusiastic Softball Coaches for our summer camp sessions in Brooklyn's Prospect Park.

We're specifically looking for current and former softball players, collegiate softball athletes, travel ball coaches, high school softball players, and softball instructors who want to share their passion for the game while making a positive impact on young athletes.

  • Approximately 8-hour camp days
  • $17.00-$23/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities
  • Teach softball fundamentals including hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running
  • Lead drills, games, and skill-development activities
  • Work with campers ages 413
  • Create a fun, energetic, and positive camp environment
  • Encourage confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Serve as a positive role model for young athletes
  • Support daily camp operations and activities
Qualifications
  • Softball playing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience coaching, instructing, or mentoring youth is a plus
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work outdoors and stay active throughout the day
  • Reliable transportation to Prospect Park
  • Ability to pass a background check
