• Conduct thorough assessments of students at various education levels, identifying mental health needs and developing individualized treatment plans that take educational and familial contexts into account.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with a focus on solution-oriented approaches, offering strategies to cope with challenges related to education, mental health, and social relationships.
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards and legal regulations.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including teachers, administrators, and family members, to integrate care effectively and ensure comprehensive support for each student.
• Provide education and resources to families, helping them understand behavioral challenges and mental health issues, while equipping them with tools to support their children’s development.
• Stay informed about the latest research and practices in mental health, incorporating new strategies into your work to enhance client outcomes.

You will primarily work with a diverse population of children and adolescents facing various behavioral and emotional challenges. This includes students dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. By leveraging solution-focused strategies, you will empower them to set and achieve personal treatment goals, thus fostering resilience and positive life changes.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in New York State.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, particularly in psychotherapy and mental health interventions tailored for youth.
• Demonstrated proficiency in solution-based psychotherapy methods and an ability to apply them in a school environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, paired with strong problem-solving capabilities that facilitate effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• A genuine passion for helping children and families, with a knack for nurturing supportive relationships in collaborative settings.

• Prior experience working within educational settings or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
