Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to understand their unique mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions designed to promote healing and recovery, adapting strategies as necessary based on patient progress.
• Maintain precise and confidential clinical records, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and support staff, to provide holistic care for clients.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies to empower them throughout their recovery journey.
• Stay abreast of the latest research in mental health care and integrate new findings into practice to enhance client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse group of clients, including children, adolescents, and families facing a range of mental health issues. Your role as an LCSW will involve understanding and addressing the complexities of each client’s situation while utilizing solution-focused techniques to expedite their healing process. Your ability to build rapport and trust will be essential in fostering an environment conducive to open dialogue and effective therapy.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience working in psychotherapy, demonstrating expertise in a community mental health setting.
• Strong proficiency in solution-based psychotherapy interventions and an understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on working collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in trauma-informed care, children and adolescent therapy, or crisis intervention will be highly regarded. Additional certifications in areas such as CBT, DBT, or family therapy will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
