This full-time position operates within a remote team setting, focused on a detox center environment. Our climate-controlled office provides a comfortable space for both staff and patients, while daily interactions with department members and healthcare professionals facilitate a collaborative atmosphere aimed at fostering holistic healing. • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses, evaluating patients' mental health status using evidence-based practices according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating cultural diversity and addressing specific needs of the patient population.
• Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Engage collaboratively with patients, families, and other clinicians to create comprehensive treatment plans with clear goals and expectations.
• Educate patients and their families about various treatment options and psychosocial factors influencing health outcomes, strengthening their coping strategies.
• Provide referrals and connect patients with appropriate treatment resources, bridging communication between clients and healthcare facilities.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to students and interns, sharing your knowledge and experience to foster their professional development.

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families navigating the unique challenges presented by cancer diagnoses. This might involve addressing a range of psychological responses, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues, as well as providing support during treatment and recovery phases. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing patient resilience and quality of life, thus directly impacting their health outcomes.

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based mental health practices and cultural competency.

While not required, candidates with prior experience in oncological social work or mental health settings will be given preference. Familiarity with telemedicine practices and electronic health records is also advantageous, as it aligns with our commitment to utilizing technology for patient care.
