OVERVIEW:
The Village Life Center (TVLC) is a growing, mission-driven agency serving children, adolescents, and adults in and around Baton Rouge and Plaquemine, LA. We are seeking passionate and motivated Mental Health Specialists (MHS)  to join our team.
At TVLC, you’ll make a real difference in the lives of clients through evidence-based, client-centered, and family-centered interventions. Services are delivered in-home, in-school, in-community giving you the flexibility to meet clients where they are.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver Mental Health Rehabilitation Services.
  • Provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services to help clients build daily living skills, social/interpersonal skills, and coping strategies..
  • Assist clients in identifying and managing triggers, improving self-management, and building support networks.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed, following agency policy and clinical standards.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams, supervisors, and families to align services with each client’s individualized treatment plan.
  • Maintain organized caseloads and meet productivity expectations.
  • Document services clearly and accurately in accordance with agency and clinical standards.
  • Attend weekly team meetings, trainings, and clinical supervision sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Mental Health Specialist (MHS):
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or sociology.
  • Experience in behavioral/mental health (work, internship, or coursework).

Additional Requirements:
  • Professional, organized, and committed to HIPAA compliance and client safety.
  • Flexible schedule (some evenings/weekends as needed).
  • Reliable transportation, active vehicle insurance, cell phone, and personal computer access.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test.
