Job Announcement

Position: ETR Employment and Support Services Intern
Location:
Anchorage, Alaska
Reports to:
ETR/477 Administrator
Work Schedule:
Up to 20 hrs. per week
Duration:
3-Month Internship (May be extended by mutual agreement)
Salary:
$20.34 per hour

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the ETR/477 Administrator and the Education and Employment Coordinator, the Employment and Support Services Intern will gain hands-on experience in employment and training case management, participant engagement, and workforce development services. The intern will assist with participant meetings, documentation, employment planning, and outreach activities that support Alaska Native and American Indian tribal members. This position provides practical learning in motivational interviewing, strengths-based goal setting, case note documentation, database entry, and culturally responsive service delivery. Learning opportunities may also include clerical support, project coordination, quality improvement, and exposure to grant and program operations based on the intern's interests and goals.

Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Preference given to applicants pursuing or holding a Certificate in Rural Human Services, an Associate degree in Social Work, or a related field. Must demonstrate willingness to learn employment and training case management, counseling, and participant engagement. Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Must demonstrate maturity, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to work respectfully with Alaska Native and American Indian participants and communities. Willingness to travel within the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands region 1-2 times per year if requested. Valid Alaska driver's license preferred. Background clearance required.
