Job Purpose
The Social Media Support Coordinator supports the promotion and growth of the golf facility through social media engagement, digital content creation, marketing initiatives, and sales support activities. This role helps showcase the facility's events, programs, memberships, food and beverage offerings, tournaments, and guest experiences while supporting efforts to increase awareness, participation, and revenue.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, customer-focused, and comfortable balancing both digital marketing responsibilities and operational support for sales and promotional initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintaining the golf course's social media platforms by creating, scheduling, and posting content.
  • Capture photos and videos of the facility, events, tournaments, leagues, and special programs.
  • Monitor social media messages and inquiries and direct questions to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with promoting memberships, tournaments, outings, instructional programs, and special events.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives through local outreach, follow-up communications, and administrative tasks.
  • Help maintain marketing materials and promotional content.
  • Assist with updating social content, event calendars, and course communications as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and reports related to memberships, events, and marketing activities.
  • Respond to guest inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a professional manner.
  • Provide administrative support for tournaments, outings, member events, and community programs.
  • Coordinate with golf operations and facility leadership to gather information for promotions and communications.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, scheduling, and other clerical duties.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media, marketing, sales support, hospitality, recreation, golf, or a related industry preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing platforms, or content management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to create engaging content including photography, video, and written copy.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for hospitality, recreation, sports, golf, or customer experience preferred.

Working Conditions
  • Primarily works in an office and golf course environment.
  • Regular use of computers, mobile devices, and digital marketing platforms.
  • May require occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to support events, tournaments, and promotional activities.
  • Frequent walking throughout the facility and outdoor exposure in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry promotional materials and equipment up to 30 pounds.
