Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The CAS Student Social Media Assistant helps tell the stories of the College of Arts and Sciences through engaging digital content. This position offers hands-on experience in marketing, storytelling, photography, videography, writing, and social media strategy while collaborating with the college's marketing team.
  • Create engaging (photo, video, graphic, written) content for the CAS social media channels and platforms.
  • Develop and implement new ideas, identify and pitch story ideas that show showcase students, faculty, research, events, and campus life.
  • Attend University events (including occasional evenings) to capture photos and short form videos for social media, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Assist CAS marketing team with production of internal newsletters, website updates, posters, flyers, and other marketing and communications projects.
  • Work independently while managing assigned projects and meeting deadlines.
