Responsibilities
  • Create engaging, on-brand content for Purdue for Life Foundation social media accounts, focusing on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Brainstorm, script, storyboard, film, and edit short-form video content.
  • Collaborate with the social media lead and marketing and communications team on the review and approval process, and refine content based on feedback.
  • Publish approved videos according to a content schedule, and monitor for engagement.
  • Stay up to date on trending social media topics, sounds, and formats to make content relevant and shareable. Respond to direct messages and comments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use Sprout Social to schedule content, check messages, and report on performance metrics.
  • Perform additional social media projects as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
  • Experience filming and editing video content for social media using native apps or editing software
  • Creative mindset with the ability to turn ideas into polished, shareable content
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable appearing and speaking on camera
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and adherence to brand guidelines
