Social Media Marketing ManagerJob summary

The role of Social Media Marketing Manager, under the leadership of the Director of Marketing is to promote awareness of the brand image on all social media channels, to ensure that Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort, is correctly positioned as an ultra-luxury hotel product, inclusive of all its facilities, in line with the strategic direction of Rosewood.

Maintain an excellent hotel and professional reputation in the eyes of the media, the public, the owners, the guests and the hotel associates.

Core ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & Planning
  • Plan, develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy and editorial calendar for all organic content across the hotel’s social media channels, based on Brand guidelines (photo & video) and copy (tone of voice).
  • Follow long-range objectives aligned with yearly marketing KPIs (e.g., engagement rate, follower growth, web traffic and net revenue) and devise strategies to achieve them.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to continuously optimize content strategy and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance analysis and social media audits, delivering insightful monthly reports to property and corporate stakeholders.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Manage social media agency, leading communication and biweekly agency meetings. Set up agency for success and ultimately the property for success by being timely, thorough, and forward-thinking.
  • Provide measurement of the impact of online presence to the hotel’s overall business, including social media engagement and results, to be presented in monthly reports to properties and corporate team.
Content Creation & Curation
  • Lead the creation and curation of compelling, on-brand content (photo, video, and copy) that aligns with Rosewood's brand guidelines and distinctive tone of voice.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute lifestyle photoshoots and video filming from concept to completion, managing stakeholders including photographers, videographers, models, and casting agents.
  • Negotiate contracts with video makers, photographers and models for content creation, usage rights, and talent agreements.
  • Attend resort activations and programming to capture content. Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.

(A hands-on approach to creating native content, including strong photography and videography skills, is required.)

  • Asset collection & organization: Sort, download, and organize all assets for web, social, press, and internal use and have knowledge of location, usage, and overall content. Identify gaps and content needs to create plans accordingly.
Community & Online Reputation Management
  • Advise agency on managing all community interactions with a professional, timely, and on-brand tone.
  • Monitor agency response to comments, messages, reviews, and inquiries across all social media and review platforms. Responses within 24 hours.
  • Proactively manage our online reputation by identifying and addressing relevant guest comments (positive or negative) to foster brand loyalty and customer satisfaction.
Influencer Marketing & Collaborations
  • Develop and manage a robust influencer marketing program to amplify brand reach and engagement.
  • Identify, vet, and build relationships with relevant KOLs, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
  • Work with agency on KOL collaborations, from outreach and negotiation to managing contractual obligations and content deliverables.
  • Greet, host, and attend to guest needs while on property, including site visits. Evening and weekend hours and support with media guests may occasionally be required.
Brand Marketing:
  • Ensure brand-alignment across all guest touch points and support the promotion and marketing for property programming and activations. Support all physical and digital touchpoints for departments across property and attend monthly/biweekly Marketing meetings for Spa, Retail, F&B.
  • Support and create new ideas for unique guest experiences
  • Oversee the design process from brief to completion of new collateral projects and assist with the re-ordering process across departments.
Required Skills & QualificationsExperience & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Design, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful social media strategies and campaigns, preferably within the luxury hospitality, lifestyle, luxury or a related industry.
Technical Skills:
  • Expert proficiency with social media management platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Emplifi, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Mac applications.
  • Skilled in content creation and editing along with an understanding of best practices for social media, including short-form video, photography, copy, and platform-specific formatting.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop) is highly preferred to support with image and film post-production when needed.
  • Proficiency with social media analytics and reporting tools.
