Job description

Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Social Media is responsible for defining and driving social media strategy across Harvest Snaps (HS) and the Legacy Portfolio. Reporting into the Marketing VP, this role owns the full scope of social: from setting the strategic vision to ensuring flawless execution through agency partners, freelancers, and content creators. The ideal candidate is a culturally attuned strategist who can think at the brand level, inspire external partners, and roll up their sleeves when needed to shape content direction. This person will build brands that are genuinely present in culture, earn consumer attention, and drive measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities:
Agency & Partner Leadership
  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for external social media agencies - setting direction, managing deliverables, and holding partners accountable to strategy and KPIs.

Identify, onboard, and manage freelance content creators and small production partners to supplement agency output for HS and Legacy brands.
  • Define clear scopes of work, creative briefs, and performance expectations for all agency and partner relationships.

  • Manage agency budgets, timelines, and retainer structures; escalate risks and proactively course-correct.

  • Champion integration between social, brand, and creative agency workstreams to ensure cohesion across campaigns.

Social Media Strategy
  • Own and evolve the annual social media strategy for Harvest Snaps and the Legacy Portfolio, aligned to brand objectives and business priorities.

  • Establish channel-specific strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms - with a clear rationale for where and how each brand shows up.

  • Continuously monitor cultural, consumer, and platform trends to identify opportunities that keep both portfolios relevant and differentiated.

Content Strategy & Production Oversight
  • Lead the content strategy and calendar planning process, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, campaign priorities, and cultural moments.

  • Direct agency partners and freelancers through the full content lifecycle - from briefing and concept development through production and final delivery.

  • Where needed, contribute to or shape content directly, with hands-on involvement in creative concepting, copywriting, or art direction.

  • Ensure all content reflects a distinct brand voice, earns attention organically, and is optimized for each platform's native behavior.

Influencer & Creator Strategy
  • Develop influencer and creator strategies that ladder to brand awareness, cultural relevance, and trial objectives.

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with creators and talent partners at the right tier for each brand.

  • Lead contract negotiations and manage ongoing creator relationships in partnership with legal team.

  • Evaluate creator performance against agreed KPIs and continuously optimize investment allocation based on ROI.

Community Management & Social Listening
  • Oversee community engagement strategy and execution across platforms, ensuring the brand is present, responsive, and human.

  • Leverage social listening tools to surface consumer insights, competitive signals, and emerging trends.

  • Identify and amplify brand advocates; develop programs to strengthen consumer loyalty and word-of-mouth.

Analytics, Measurement & Insights
  • Define KPIs and reporting frameworks for all social media activities across both portfolios.

  • Own regular performance reporting, translating data into actionable recommendations for leadership.

  • Connect social performance to broader brand health metrics and bring forward opportunities to optimize.

  • Translate social listening and engagement signals into recommendations for Brand, Innovation, and Consumer Insights teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus (may substitute for up to 2 years of experience).

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in social media, content marketing, or brand marketing - with at least 3 years in a role leading agency or partner relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing social media strategy for consumer brands, preferably within CPG, Food & Beverage, or adjacent categories.

  • Deep social media platforms expertise an understanding of how the social landscape is evolving.

  • Experience managing and evaluating influencer/creator programs, including contract negotiation and performance optimization.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple brands or workstreams simultaneously, with strong project management skills.

  • Experience working with or creating content directly.

  • Collaborative cross-functional partner who can influence without authority across brand, creative, and insights teams.

Must reside within Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington state.
This salary range reflects the anticipated base pay for California-based employees. Compensation for employees outside of California will be based on the geographic market, experience, internal equity, and other business factors.
