A Surgical Registered Nurse (Soc Rn) typically earns less than $4,000 weekly without a degree, as nursing roles generally require at least an associate or bachelor's degree. However, some high-paying trades such as commercial diving, certain sales positions, or specialized technical roles in fields like oil and gas can reach or exceed $4,000 per week with relevant experience and certifications. These jobs often demand specific skills, on-the-job training, or licensing but not necessarily a traditional college degree.

What are some common challenges a SOC RN faces when coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams?

A SOC (Start of Care) RN often encounters challenges such as ensuring smooth communication among physicians, therapists, and home health aides to develop a comprehensive care plan. Balancing the needs and expectations of patients, families, and team members while managing documentation and regulatory requirements can also be demanding. Effective time management and adaptability are key, as the role frequently involves home visits, patient assessments, and timely updates to care plans. Building strong relationships and clear communication channels with all stakeholders helps mitigate these challenges and improve patient outcomes.
