Position Summary:

City of Hope is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our team in the infusion clinic, specializing in cancer treatment. In this role, you will be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge cancer therapies to our patients, providing comfort, support, and hope during their cancer journey. This opportunity is for full-time, 10-hour shifts (4 shifts per week), and designated for the evening shift (11:30am start time on weekdays and 8:30am start time on weekends and holidays). 

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments with precision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor patients closely during infusions and procedural chemo administrations, assessing for adverse reactions and providing immediate care as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, pharmacists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment administration.
  • Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence to patients, fostering trust and confidence.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is required
  • Current California RN license
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience, preferred background in oncology nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart Association
  • ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card
  • OCN (preferred)
  • Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and a deep understanding of cancer treatment principles
