Dispatch Location: 340 Graham Rd, Wexford, PA 15090
Premium Snow Rate: $25.50–$30.00/hour (Non-snow work: $17–20/hour)
Type: Seasonal / On-Call

Join Sarver Landscape’s snow removal team and help keep our customers’ properties safe and accessible all winter long! As a Snow Crew Member, you’ll operate snowplows and equipment to clear snow and ice from commercial and residential sites. This role includes plowing, shoveling, and applying salt or de-icing materials during winter weather events.

NOTE: This role is a seasonal/on-call role and is a backup to our existing snow crew for storms that require extra assistance. It is not a full-time position and will not require working every time there is inclement winter weather.

What You’ll Do
  • Safely operate snowplow trucks and snow removal equipment to clear lots, driveways, and access roads.
  • Shovel and snow-blow sidewalks, walkways, and entrances as assigned.
  • Apply salt or other de-icing materials to prevent slippery surfaces.
  • Follow assigned routes and complete work efficiently and safely.
  • Report to dispatch promptly during snow events; remain available for on-call storm response.
  • Communicate with Supervisors regarding site conditions, completion status, and any equipment needs.
  • Inspect and maintain tools, trucks, and equipment before and after use.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE, and traffic laws.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to customers.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience operating snowplows, salt spreaders, or small snow equipment required.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Strong attention to quality and detail.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize during snow events.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Adaptable to changing weather conditions and priorities.
  • Reliable transportation and availability during storms, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

Work is performed outdoors in cold, snowy, and icy conditions, with hours that vary based on weather and may include overnight or extended shifts. This position requires on-call availability throughout the snow season and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods.
