Full-Time & Part-Time Available Hourly Rate $16.00 - $19.00 (Salary is based on FT/PT status and Years of Experience)

Our Prairieview facility NEEDS FULL TIME PM and OVERNIGHT CNA'S for our AL, SNL & Memory Care Floors

Job Responsibilities for CNA:

  • Assure residents are given adequate assistance with personal care and oral hygiene
  • Assist with ambulation, transferring or transporting of residents, (including pushing residents in wheelchairs) to the dining rooms, activities and/or various areas of Prairieview as necessary
  • Follow established standards of nursing practice and implements facility policies and procedures
  • Listen to resident and family concerns and initiate corrective actions and communicate concerns and outcomes to the Nurse
  • Provide support and encouragement to all residents to remain as independent as possible
  • Assist with serving meals and beverages, supervising dining rooms during meal times to ensure resident safety
  • Observe infection control procedures
  • Complete resident rounds as assigned, reporting any resident care issues to the Nurse on duty
  • Assist with orientation of new residents to the facility
  • Maintain accurate records of each resident's daily care on the appropriate documents, and in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident records and facility information
  • Attend all in-service classes as assigned
  • Come to work in a clean neat uniform, and consistently present a professional appearance
  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • CNA certification
  • Experience working in assisted living, home health or long-term care environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain current CPR certification
  • Must be familiar with the Rights of the Resident, the definition of Resident Abuse, and the reporting protocol of possible Resident Abuse
  • Demonstrate excellent listening skills and communicate effectively while conveying patience and understanding
  • Treat all customers with dignity and respect and establishes a trusting relationship with them, while maintaining confidences
  • Complete all appropriate documentation accurately and timely
  • Communicate any allegation of resident abuse immediately to Nurse
  • Must have an adequate understanding of English and be able to speak and write it well
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as a team member, with a positive, pro-active attitude
  • Follow all policies and procedures of Prairieview at The Garlands

Physical Requirements for CNA:

  • Must be able to manually lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to assist in transferring residents who weigh in excess of 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to tolerate long periods of walking, bending and standing
  • Must be able to push customers in wheelchairs frequently for brief periods of time
