Jennings Air and Mechanical has immediate openings for a Sheet Metal Mechanic in Charleston, SC.

SUMMARY: Sheet Metal Mechanic will work as part of the Jennings Air & Mechanical construction team, installing sheet metal ductwork on various heating and cooling systems. Some of the main duties are as follows:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints to determine the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal goods.
  • Install various types of ductwork, such as TDF, TDC, Slip and Drive, Spiral, and Snap-lock.
  • Perform field modifications, cuts, miters, transitions, plenums, and repairs as needed.
  • Optimize HVAC system installation for maximum efficiency.
  • Be punctual and dependable.

Skills And Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and product specifications
  • Skilled in the removal and installation of HVAC duct systems.
  • Follow directions accurately.
  • Must have a clean background check.
  • Preferably OSHA 10
  • Preferred experience of (3) years, although we can train the right candidate.
