The Role:
The Director of Sales is an incredible opportunity for someone with 3-5 years selling a luxury resort who is searching for their next step in their career. This selling role books group business, details the event while leading the catering sales manager and an area Travel Industry Sales Manager. Will oversee all sales efforts to exceed financial targets for all revenue generating entities at the resort. Working closely with Marketing team, this position will be a hybrid role that will implement strategies to maximize profitability and brand recognition.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Surpass individual booking quota
  • Implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance to various sales teams within the designated area.
  • Discover new markets, business opportunities, and target segments to drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure ambitious revenue targets are set and exceeded in close coordination with property teams.
  • Develop a culture of collaboration and high performance among the sales teams at various properties.
  • Understanding market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer preferences requires thorough market research.
  • Assess market dynamics and make adjustments to strategies as opportunities arise.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between sales efforts and guest experiences with property managers.
  • Manage the budget for the area's sales activities.
  • Achieve revenue targets and ROI by monitoring expenditures.
  • Identify areas for improvement and evaluate strategies based on sales and performance reports.
  • Optimize sales efforts by implementing data-driven decisions.
  • Establish relationships and stay informed about industry trends by participating in industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Implement strategies as needed to overcome sales challenges in collaboration with property teams.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of strategies using sales data, marketing metrics, and performance reports.
  • Actively selling of group, transient, wholesale and OTA accounts
  • Participate in the development of marketing strategies to positively impact Lodging/Hotel
  • In conjunction with the marketing department, oversee and manage the hotel's Sales & Marketing Coordinator
  • Manage, via the hotel's front office, reservations team and the on-site sales & marketing coordinator all group rooming list, deposits, room blocking, coordination, development of group resumes, etc.
  • Manage with the on-site Sales & Marketing Coordinator in the development of all banquet event orders, etc. to ensure the success of group bookings in a manner that exceeds the expectations of the client
