Job description

  • Program SMT machines to ensure efficient and accurate placements
  • Support generalized SMT-related engineering, including quality
  • Serve as the resident IPC-certified trainer for solder-related items
  • Work with Engineering staff on component design, specification, and selection for new products
  • Support and update existing products
  • Program, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment
  • Lead solder training sessions as lead IPC-certified instructor
  • Train employees assigned to the department and oversee their work
  • Shut down production as necessary when quality issues are found
  • Maintain the organization and layout of the area with the Manufacturing Manager
  • Maintain production-run records for analysis and review
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs, parts lists, manuals, and spares
  • Assist with troubleshooting product-testing failures and coordinate rework
  • Ensure projects are maintained and proper materials are issued with the planning department
  • Perform material cycle counts as needed
  • Oversee jobs and work orders to ensure timely progress through the department
  • Monitor material and component shortages and follow through on requirements
  • Flex between different areas or responsibilities based on production needs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 2-5 years’ experience in an SMT environment
  • Working computer knowledge
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Good mechanical and electronic skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
