The regular hours for this position are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday from 5:00am to 5:30pm.

Job Description:

The Sr Assembler is responsible for the precision assembly of complex electronic and electromechanical systems. This role requires advanced competency in assembling extremely small, fragile, and hightolerance components using microscopes, specialized fixtures, and detailed work instructions. Sr Assemblers work from schematics, diagrams, Bills of Material, and written or verbal instructions to produce highquality microscopic components for electronic test products. The role demands strong dexterity, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to derive and validate component tolerances, and the capability to thrive in a fastpaced production environment. As an expert assembler, this role also provides training, leadership, and processimprovement contributions within the assembly team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate lasercutting equipment per documented procedures to cut and extract polymer membranes and components for assembly or engineering evaluation.

  • Assemble polymer membranes onto electronic probe components, including membrane attachment, clamping into proprietary fixtures, UV curing, and managing cure times.

  • Perform mechanical attachment of miniature, mixedmaterial components using screw fasteners, adhesives, and precision alignment tools.

  • Perform all technical duties of an Assembly Technician II when required.

  • Prioritize assembly tasks to maximize throughput based on build requirements, cure times, and production due dates.

  • Read, interpret, and follow assembly documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions.

  • Perform simple mathematical calculations, including tolerance stackups, to evaluate component fit and performance.

  • Assemble microscopic parts and components using specialized jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and microscopes.

  • Set up and perform testing to validate build specifications and confirm assembly accuracy.

  • Collect, organize, and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to monitor and improve process stability and yield.

  • Set up and operate specialized assembly and curing equipment in accordance with documented procedures.

  • Safely handle chemicals-including adhesives and solvents-while following all safety rules, PPE requirements, and materialhandling practices.

Work Environment:

  • Works with chemicals while wearing ESDsafe protective equipment, including smock, hair covering, gloves, safety glasses, and other required PPE.

  • Works at a microscope for extended periods, up to 80% of a shift, depending on station assignment.

  • Able to read and follow detailed work instructions and complete both written and electronic documentation.

  • Capable of pushing and pulling 10-15 lbs.

  • Performs routine lifting of materials weighing approximately 6 lbs.

Pay Range Explained:

This role in Beaverton, Oregon pays between $18.80 and $24.68 per hour, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You'll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
