About the role

This position is responsible for actively assisting the Director with the strategy, development, and selection of merchandise to support the business initiatives by department and from an Omni channel perspective for the Web site and emails. This position is responsible for communicating and collaborating with cross functional partners from a merchant POV utilizing in-depth analysis, both financial and trend. Ensuring creative and marketing concepts are adopted.

Deliver company financial objective through shared understanding and achievement of revenue, margin and expense management goals. On a daily/weekly/monthly basis strive to review business results and hind sights ensuring that we are driving and supporting all businesses. This includes all aspects of our web site, email, category banners, web sorts; Ad banners, and trigger emails.

Continue to monitor all aspects of web results especially traffic and conversion, make adjustments accordingly.

Drive demand through effective merchandising, delivering business objectives and supporting creative concepts and merchandise stories. Create web shops and homepages to test and move forward with best practices to drive sales and conversion results.

Build email cadence with compelling stories and product to support traffic and conversion goals.

Partner with merchants in supporting merchandising stories and investments, to enhance web and email experience. Work w/ e-commerce team to establish best practices to drive sales and conversion.

Create the direct e-commerce merchandising strategy to achieve and exceed e-commerce and Talbot's acquisition and retention goals.

Use partnerships to enhance exposure to these businesses. Focus on testing, emails and segmentation, unique landing pages, banners, and well as trigger personalized emails.

You'll bring to the role

Bachelor's degree

0 - 2 years experience in a buying, planning, and/or inventory management role preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Innate sense of fashion and ability to analyze and translate trends

Possess analytical skills, ability to draw smart conclusions and make thoughtful recommendations

Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, prioritize and complete tasks on tight deadlines

Excellent attention to detail, understands importance of accuracy and thorough completion of tasks
