As Smart Home Sales Consultant the primary function of this position is for a dedicated subject matter expert who will be the go-to resource for customers exploring our appliance and electronics categories. The Smart Home Sales Consultant drives category growth by prospecting, generating referrals, and guiding customers on appliances, electronics, and in-home technology. This role delivers world-class service, applies effective sales strategies, and meets monthly performance goals to maximize sales and revenue. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Sales Department at CITY HOME.
What You'll Do...
As a Smart Home Sales Consultant, your primary responsibilities will be to:
  • Greet, engage, and guide customers through the sales process; process orders, schedule deliveries, and offer financing options.
  • Follow up with customers, track back-orders, and grow relationships with existing and new guests.
  • Keep up with the latest products, attend training, and grow your skills.
  • Manage daily department operations, maintain showroom presentation, and review sales performance.
  • Mentor new associates, attend meetings, and collaborate to achieve team goals.
  • Outside Sales acquisition

Reports To: Director of Sales for Appliance and Consumer Electronics
Location: Sarasota, FL
Department/Sub-Department: Sales/Retail
Compensation: Avg yearly compensation $65K-$100k/yr
What We're Looking For...
  • Strong consultative sales skills with a focus on closing sales and building lasting relationships
  • Appliance experience is a PLUS
  • Knowledge of appliances, electronics, and smart home technology
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable using technology for demos and internal systems

What's Required...
• Education & Work Experience:
o High-School diploma from an accredited institution, or GED equivalent.
o Previous retail sales experience in the appliance or electronics category.
• Work Environment & Schedule:
o Flexible 40-hour work week with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical Requirements:
o Extended periods of time working on the showroom floor, as well as the light physical demands associated with presenting products to Guests and merchandising the showroom.
o Prolonged standing (some of our showrooms are over 100,000 sqft)
o Light lifting
• Technology Requirements:
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
