Job description

We strive to hire humble, hungry and people-smart bus associates to facilitate the safe transportation of students.ย  We want to enable students to enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular programs.ย 
Estimated hours will be:ย  Monday through Thursdayย 
6:45-9:00a;ย 1:30p-4:00pm and Friday 6:45-9:00a; 12:45p-2:30pm
QUALIFICATIONS:ย 
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Willingness to learn about and ensure student safety
3. Able to lift 50 lbsย 
4. Punctualย 
5. Consistently reports to work

6. Completed required trainings before interacting with students
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:ย 
  • Supervises students and work with a wide range of various needs, including physical, behavior and social Examples:
    • Ensures students follow bus safety guidelines before, during and after transport
    • Guides each student toward making appropriate choices and accepting responsibility for their own behavior
  • Alerts the bus driver and transportation director to any problem or special information regarding an individual student
  • Consistent reporting to work, adhering to scheduled shift times and notifying the transportation director of any absences or lateness

  • Be student-focused, team-oriented and have a strong desire to actively engage with students
  • Holds a humble philosophy that doing whatever it takes to help students be successful is required
  • Have effective time management skills and organizational skills
  • Enjoys kids, working with others and making a positive difference in the lives of children
  • Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information regarding students as is expected of fully licensed teachers
