As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Flex in Columbus, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.67 / Hour

DayTime Thur 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, bus stops, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with crowd management, and help maintain orderly movement of passengers during routine operations, special events, and service disruptions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate transit personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
