About the Role: 
Its A Small World Preschool and Child Care is looking for a passionate and dedicated GSRP Teacher to join their team in Pittsfield Township, MI! This is an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners by delivering high-quality early childhood education through Michigan's Great Start Readiness Program. If you love nurturing young minds and helping children thrive, we want to hear from you! 
Responsibilities: 
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate GSRP curriculum aligned with Michigan's Early Childhood Standards of Quality
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children
  • Conduct ongoing child assessments and maintain accurate developmental records
  • Build positive relationships with families through regular communication and family engagement activities
  • Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and program coordinators to ensure program quality
  • Participate in required GSRP professional development, training, and coaching sessions
  • Complete required documentation, lesson plans, and reporting in compliance with GSRP guidelines

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required for GSRP lead teacher eligibility)
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood endorsement preferred
  • Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in an early childhood setting
  • Knowledge of GSRP program requirements and Michigan's Great Start to Quality standards
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Must meet Michigan licensing background check requirements
