Job Title: Daycare Manager
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Executive Director / Yeshivah Administration

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and dynamic Daycare Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our daycare program for infants and children up to 24 months old at a vibrant Yeshivah in Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development, possess strong organizational skills, and most importantly, have a genuine love for children. As a key member of our team, you will help foster a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision:
    Manage and supervise a team of daycare staff to ensure high standards of care and education for infants and children up to 24 months old. Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing support to ensure staff are equipped to meet the needs of the children.

  • Safety & Well-being:
    Ensure a safe and secure environment for all children. Implement health and safety protocols, conduct regular safety checks, and address any concerns related to the physical and emotional well-being of the children.

  • Parent Communication:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for parents. Maintain open and positive communication with families, addressing questions, concerns, and providing updates on their child’s progress and well-being.

  • Administrative Duties:
    Manage enrollment, staff scheduling, and documentation (e.g., attendance records, incident reports, and regulatory compliance). Ensure that all daycare activities and programs comply with local regulations and Yeshivah policies.

  • Team Collaboration:
    Work well with the daycare teachers and oversee other daycare staff to ensure smooth daily operations and a cohesive learning environment. Provide guidance, support, and supervision to ensure that all staff are working together effectively to meet the needs of the children.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with infants and young children (up to 24 months) and a strong understanding of early childhood development.
  • Previous experience in daycare management, early childhood education, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, parents, and children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, child health, and emergency procedures.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must pass background checks and meet all local licensing requirements.
