Job Purpose:

  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to ensure accurate assessments of maintenance needs.
  • Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards, adhering to regulatory obligations.
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, or parts, showcasing innovative problem-solving skills and techniques.
  • Evaluates service and parts options to contain costs, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness in finding effective solutions.
  • Controls corrosion and completes winterization procedures to prolong the lifespan of vehicles and ensure responsible use of resources.
